Australian Charity Partnerships Announced

What do we do in Australia?

This is a very common question we get asked and even when we did have local, Australian based building projects our answer was still never well-received. Part of me thought you just can't please everyone and another part of me thought this was a great opportunity to partner with some amazing local, Australian based charities who give back in Australia.

With this being said, we are so excited to announce our new partnerships in Australia with Foodbank and Drought Angels! Please read more about these wonderful non-profits below and click on their logo's to support them where you can.

FOODBANK - At some point each year over 4 million Australians are in crisis, dealing with the anguish and despair of not knowing where the next meal is coming from for themselves and their families. It’s hard to believe this is happening in the ‘lucky country’. It’s a predicament largely hidden by stigma and shame, but the reality is we’re all likely to know someone who is affected. It’s not just people on the street but people in our streets.

Foodbank restores hope to people who are struggling by rescuing and sourcing food and groceries from farmers, manufacturers and retailers and distributing them to front line charities around the country to provide to individuals and families in need. We support children through school breakfast programs nationally, and play a key role in times of community emergencies and disasters, providing essential supplies to support the work of emergency services and first responders as well as ongoing assistance to affected communities.

Foodbank is the largest hunger relief organisation in Australia which, with the help of the food industry and the public, has the scale and capacity to address the country’s hunger crisis. In spite of our best efforts, only 36% of charities are currently meeting the full need of the people they assist because demand outstrips supply. This is why, with your help, we strive every day to do more. Find out more here - https://www.foodbank.org.au/

DROUGHT ANGELS - Drought Angels provides a unique service for which it is has become well known for within the rural sector. Drought Angels is a small charity run by big hearts, who offer a listening ear, a warm hug and personalised support given to each family. We like to tell our farmers that this is not a handout but a Thank You. “Thank you for all you do to put the food on our tables because without you we would all go hungry”.
Through direct personal contact with the farmers, Drought Angels has earnt a reputation for providing personalised, heartfelt and discreet assistance. We help those who would not normally reach out but prefer to battle it alone, which can lead to severe depression and in some cases suicide. One-on-one support aides in ‘breaking down the barriers’ of a proud demographic who quite often have never received a hand up. They can be the first generation of many who have to contemplate walking off the land and selling blood lines which have taken years to build up. These are the people of most concern and often forgotten. Find out more here - https://www.droughtangels.org.au/
