In May our volunteers held a Mothers Day High Tea fundraiser, raising $3000 for the RLDI food and kitchen refurbishment program. It was a wonderful morning where we could gather, shop, eat, drink and celebrate all the Mothers in our lives. Thank you to all those who attended and made this event a huge success. Special mention to our high tea baking Queen, Barb for donating and making (from scratch!) 90% of the food! We look forward to the next event.

While we wait for the funds to be raised for the kitchen to be upgraded, the work hasn’t stopped at RLDI. Every month they are still making and distributing over 1200 meals and last month they held a school holiday program including crafts, activities and (of course) a nice hot meal, to keep the kids entertained, fed and off the streets.
